Started School at the U!

Hey everyone!
Sorry It's been so long since my last post. I think I start every post off this way, apologizing for taking so long, haha. SO so many things have happened since the last time I've written, I don't even know where to begin. Well for starters I finally got done with SLCC and am at the University of Utah. It's so amazing to finally go to a 4 year college, I really enjoy it a ton. It's definitely more challenging than SLCC but that's what makes it so fun and interesting. I decided to major in psychology and am a research assistant with a grad student hear at the U. It's fun to participate in collecting research. It really give you a good idea of what actually happens behind the scenes of statistics!

Brittney and I are doing really well! She's going to Weber State and is having a good time going to school up there. She still isn't sure what she wants to major in, which is understandable, I think I changed my major 5 times and then 145960492049 times in my head! We're actually coming up on our 1 year anniversary in November since we've been dating! I'm way excited! Thinking about it, I'm not sure where the time went. It doesn't seem like it's been a year already.

Other interesting news, my parents and I went to Boston Massachusetts just a few weeks ago. I had so much fun! Boston is one of the most interesting cities I've ever been to. I want to go back so bad. The only thing that's annoying is that the street system there is so unorganized! Since the street systems in Utah are practically idiot-proof (at least in SLC) it was super confusing at first. We did so many things. The first day we did walked the Freedom Trail, which basically winds you through the entire city to see all the famous old buildings and landmarks of the city like the old statehouse, Paul Revers hours, little Italy, Bunker Hill, and many other things! I don't have enough time to write everything we did, but trust me it was great!

Welp I'm gonna end this post now! Now that there's a Facebook link on this, I'm going to try and write more!

Love you guys!

Spring Semester Comes to A Close

After a long spring semester, I'm finally on a two week break. I'm happy to say that I got a 4.0 for the first time in my entire life! I never thought it'd come in college, that's for sure. Anyway, How have I spent my time off so far, you ask? Saturday night we had mustache party at my house, which was really fun. A lot of my friends showed up, we danced, laughed and had a lot of fun. Sunday day was awesome, I went to work and then came home and cleaned my house before I went to meet my family for Mother's Day dinner at Little America. Me and my dad got the halibut which wasn't all that great. I can remember starting to feel really sick after dinner, so I went home and took a nap.
Now, this is where the real fun starts. I went to Brittney's house to hang out and give her mom a Mother's Day gift. At about 10 o' clock, I was still feeling sick so I decided it was time to get the halibut out of my system. I went to the bathroom and threw up. This feeling of relief was only temporary because when I got home I continued to throw up until 5 A.M!!! I was so sick, I couldn't hold anything down so I called my mom and we had to go to the hospital. I got an IV put in and they ran some tests to see what my deal was. The doctor that treated me was absolutely wonderful, she reminded me of Nana Nita. That's probably because she kind of looked like her. She told me and my mom that it looked like I was starting to get pneumonia and the flu. They sent me home with a bunch of medicine and was told to drink a lot of water.

So far a pretty fun break huh? haha. No, it's been really fun. I adopted another cat with Brittney last week. She's so cute, her name is Lady. She's a little shy and withdrawn, but that's probably because our other cat, Clark, is a huge fatso and demands so much attention. I swear Clark is like a little dog. He comes when you call his name, he eat human food, (i.e. pork chops!) and he just want to play, ALL THE TIME! He's a great little companion though, I love him so much! Clark and Lady are really good little friend though, he's a little rough with her but for the most part they get along quite well.

This is pretty much all that's been going on since my last post. I don't wanna talk a bout the Jazz losing to the stupid Lakers last night because It'll only make me upset. Funny thing about that though, I bought a Deron Williams jersey on eBay a few days ago and it didn't come until last night around the time they lost and were eliminated. Good timing, wouldn't you say?

I love you all!

Just Finished a new book!

Well, I just finished the book, "The Road" By Cormac McCarthy, which is going to be a movie coming out soon staring Viggo Mortensen and some little kid.
Before I get into the things I liked and disliked about the book I'll give you a brief summary of what it's about. The world basically a baron waste-land that, I think, has been destroyed by natural disasters and other unfortunate events (explosions, nuclear war, dwindling resources, and blah and blah) The actual time period in which the story takes place is years after all this destruction has happened. To avoid giving away a lot of what the story is about, McCarthy paints a pretty bleak visual for the reader, the world is all "ashy" and grey. Cities are destroyed and there's basically nothing, zip, nada, ZILTCH! The main characters are never named they are called "The man" and "The Boy" They are traveling down the road (hence the name of the book) towards to coast because "The Man" believes that there could be something there still. The book consists of the trials and tribulations that they encounter along their way to the coast. Thats all I'm going to tell you! You'll have to read the book to see what sorts of "adventures" they have, haha.
Alright now I'll describe how I liked the book by dividing it into 3 parts. It went something like this,

1st part- Boring
2nd Part- Still kind boring/Getting interesting
3rd part- Better/That's it?

My overall feeling for the book was, it's very well written and it easy to read but at the same time I was bored for almost the first half of the book. Let's put it this way, I thought the cover made the book seem a little more exciting than it really was, haha.
Don't let my review stop you from reading it though, I think that Cormac McCarthy is a really, really talented writer. He's really good at making the story visual and real feeling. He also wrote "No Country For Old Men" which I didn't know until after I read this book.
Well that's pretty much all I have to say for now. If anyone has some extra free time to read, check this book out, maybe you'll like it better than I did!

Love you all,

Back to blogging!

Here I am, again. I'm going to give this blogging stuff another chance, seeing as how my last one was filled with sad and depressing posts, I'm going to attempt to make this one a little more interesting and happy! Sound good!?
All right lets get started,
Christmas just ended a few days ago! It was awesome to spend some great time with my family. Isabelle, Emily, and Dustin were in town for the holiday! It was so great to see them and spend some great quality time together! (except for having to see New Moon, BARRRFFFFF!)
Other new things that have happened over the past few months include being with a new girlfriend named Brittney Fraizer, who is absolutely awesome! We've been together for about 2 months and I'm having such a fun time getting to know her more and spending time with her. She also makes me laugh and smile all the time, wahoo, go me! Very exciting stuff!
I'm still working at Slim's in Bountiful as a cashier, which might not be as big as a wahoo, but it's still great. It's not the most prestigious of work places but it's filled with all my good friends and lots of laughs. What more could I ask for!?
Now on to some pretty exciting stuff (not that they other stuff wasn't exciting) this is just really fun to talk about. I just got done with Fall semester at Slcc! yaaay! I think it was my 5th semester? I cant remember...might be something I should check out...oh well. It was a great semester nonetheless, also one of the hardest. My classes included- Chemistry 1010, English 1010, American Politics 1100, and Psychology 1010. I ended up getting 2 B's and 2 A's in all at the end of the semester. I'm super satisfied with those grades! wahoo! I decided to make Psychology my major. I think it's really interesting and I enjoy probing into the minds of people, haha.
Thats pretty much it for right now! I'll be posting lots of new and exciting things in the days, weeks, and months to come!
Love you all,
